Jewelry is my passion.
For me it's like a lucky charm, which helps me transform magic metamorphoses - and they are only the beginning of further changes!
My name is Katarzyna Rychlewska, my friends call me Kate. In 2008, after over a dozen years spent working for corporate companies (Coty, Danone and W. Kruk), I decided to leave and open up my own boutique.
I was inspired by a trip to Lebanon, where I discovered artisans who create amazing colorful jewelry. Then there was Florence, where I also found beautiful, artistic jewelry. I brought them to Poland and I rented a store in a Warsaw townhouse, where you had to pass two gates and a fountain to access my shop. My friends were astonished: You’re planning to open a boutique in place that’s so hard to reach? – they asked me.
It’s true, my approach to fashion can be irrational, but maybe that’s why I succeeded in convincing the biggest designers from all over the world to exhibit their jewelry at my place? I didn’t want to open yet another jewelry boutique, but a magical place for women, who want to open themselves up for something new. I named it Kate&Kate, because each woman has a double visage...
I created the concept of Slow Wear – after all, we have slow food, so why not introduce the same values to your wardrobe? I organize Slow Wear workshops for companies (groups up to 10 ladies), or I invite clients to my boutique for hour-long sessions advising how to boost your look and add style with the help of accessories. I teach that accessories aren’t merely something you just add, in order to complete your outfit, but that they may serve as a lucky charm which brings out your true personality. I would never sell a piece of jewelry if I know that my client would toss it into her jewelry box and never wear it.
I also set up the Kate&Kate Academy, where I encourage women to practice sport. Classes are open to all the ladies who would like to work on their form and running capacities. I also founded the first women’s triathlon group in Poland.
